| My intention in creating my "Amazing Artwork" collection in my Favourites Gallery was to provide my homepage with a constant, infinite feature for a large number of artists whose art shows one or more of several distinct characteristics as a way to give back to the deviantArt community for their support and generosity. When going through the pieces delivered to my inbox, as well as those posted minute-by-minute to the various categories, I look for the following: *Character* ~ Does the piece have a personality of its own? Does it leap out at the observer and make them stop and think, even for a moment? *Technique* ~ Is it an exquisite example of technical achievement for that piece's genre? How can people learn from what the artist has achieved with this piece? *Heart* ~ How much of the artist's love, sweat and tears does the piece convey? Sometimes love is more important than composition or quality. *Creativity* ~ Does the piece just make you say: "Damn....how'd they think of that?" *Artistic Promise/Potential* ~ Does the artist who created the work show an excellent oppurtunity to develop into a master artist? Well, I guess we all can with practice, but you all know what I mean! ============================ If you have a piece, or multiple pieces, featured in this collection, please do not feel obligated to say thank you!! I'm honoring deviantArt and the artists who support it by doing my part in promoting those artists who sometimes go unnoticed. Good luck and Fortunes bless! |

I am self-taught. Never been on workshop or anything similar, occasionally I find some tutorial on web, but mostly it is the method of trying and until getting it right
